The Old Ghost Road mountain bike trail and tramping track is only half an hour’s drive, and an excellent place for the weary mountain bikers and trampers who just come off the track traveling on a budget. We are the venue for the annual Country Western Music Festival held at the end of January, and the annual Buller Festival at the end of February.
A wonderful place for large groups looking for affordable accommodation an excellent place for families young and old. The Kahikatea Walkway is an easy 20 min walk that starts at the swimming hole.
The Old Cafe building located next to the stunning Buller River has been turned into a full kitchen with 100 square metres of covered deck overlooking the river and may be hired for your private event. Riverside has an abundance of bird life. There are numerous tuis, wekas, and a dozen or so pukekos that live on site. Dog friendly but must always be on a lead.
